BAVIS web-based SCADA and data acquisition
BAVIS is our custom web-based SCADA. We build process visualisation and control as a web application running on an industrial PC or server. It is operated from a browser on a PC, tablet or phone, stores data from PLCs and other devices in a database and evaluates it right away. No per-client licences and nothing to install for users.
Interactive demo on a fictitious process. The mixing and heating station is made up and the simulation runs only in your browser, nothing is sent anywhere. Try starting a batch, clicking a pump or the agitator in the diagram, triggering a fault or downloading data to CSV. New: the Operations tab with OEE, energy by spot prices, maintenance and alarm statistics.
What the application can do
Process control like a classic SCADA, plus what is hard to do in one: custom data evaluation, OEE, energy, maintenance, reports and access from anywhere on the company network. The interface is available in Czech, English, German, Slovak and Polish.
Diagrams and screen editor
Overview diagrams with P&ID symbols, animated piping and dynamics, equipment faceplates and IP cameras. We draw the screens and you can edit them in the editor right in the browser, including mobile versions.
Recipes and batches
Recipes locked while the process runs and compared with current values, sequence control, a time-stamped record of every batch or test.
Connects to everything
Siemens S7, Modbus TCP, OPC UA, MQTT, Beckhoff ADS and EtherNet/IP. Tag import from TIA Portal, OPC UA and Modbus server for higher-level systems.
Trends and analysis
Live and historical trends with panels per unit, a value cursor, XY charts, period comparison and statistics. Data compression and aggregation, so even years of history load instantly.
OEE, shifts and downtime
Live line OEE, a running/stopped timeline, downtime Pareto and downtime classification by operators. A shift log with shift handover and an alarm summary.
Energy and spot prices
Electricity meters and tariffs, 15-minute peak monitoring, day-ahead spot prices with the cheapest hours recommended, CO₂ and EnPI indicators per ISO 50001.
Maintenance and work orders
Operating hours and starts from the PLC, maintenance intervals, a work order from an alarm in one click, a spare-parts store and QR labels on equipment for mobile use.
Alarms per ISA-18.2
Groups, suppression, first-out, shelving with a reason and flood statistics. Notifications by e-mail, SMS, Telegram and push to phones, on-call rota with escalation.
Evaluation and reports
Tolerance and capability checks, PDF reports, scheduled reports even into the customer's own XLSX template, FAT and SAT protocols with electronic signatures.
Automation without programming
Calculated tags, if → then logic, weekly time schedules with public holidays. Data to MES and the cloud via MQTT, HTTP, SQL or InfluxDB, buffered during outages.
Reliable and secure operation
Redundancy with two servers, connection monitoring, security per IEC 62443 (two-factor authentication, LDAP, plant areas, SIEM), andon and a central multi-site overview.
Simulation mode
Virtual commissioning: tags are simulated with ramps, lags and delays, so screens, alarms and reports are debugged before the PLC is even connected.
Licence and modules
The licence is bound to the computer running the application server; browser clients are free. The base covers visualisation and data acquisition, further functions are added as modules according to what the plant really needs.
